We appreciate that the new schedule will not suit everyone, and you can view your options below. Option 1 Take part in June If you can make the new dates, then no action is required on your part as your original booking has been moved over for you. If you previously joined our deferral list, your registration has not been cancelled and has been moved to the new June date. We will be sending out the revised booking confirmation emails today. Option 2 Transfer to the Virtual Race You’ve done the training, so why not transfer to the virtual race and complete the distance anytime between 26 April and 9 May. We have some fantastic technology, creating exciting leaderboards and interactive maps. PLUS, you will qualify for the coveted and fantastic MKM runner t-shirt as well as the other amazing rewards. You must submit your application to transfer to the virtual race by 26 April at midnight. See link below. Option 3 Defer to 2022 The provisional date is 2-3 May 2022; however, it is subject to change. The date will be confirmed when the new football fixtures have been announced (usually late June). You must submit your application to defer by 26 April at midnight. See link below. Option 4 Transfer your place to another runner You can transfer your place free of charge to another runner here by selecting ‘Transfer Registration’. This can be done any time up until 18 May at midnight. Option 5 Transfer your place to another distance You have the flexibility to change your booking to another distance, subject to availability, here by selecting ‘Change Category’. This can be done any time up until 18 May at midnight. Option 6 Claim a refund Your decision to take part this year will make a huge difference to the future existence of our event, and the impact it has on the local community and supply chain, so we hope the above options are acceptable to you. We really do hope that we have given you enough options that allow you to join us in June, or even 2022, but if this simply isn’t possible, then you can claim a full refund. You must submit your refund application by 26 April at midnight. See link below. Rest assured that we will be offering the same options should the June event be unable to proceed due to Covid-19. |
Stuart Proffitt, Milton Keynes Council Director for Environment and Property said “we have been working hard with the MK Marathon Team to ensure our long-standing marathon is as successful and inclusive as ever. We will continue to work with the MK Marathon Team to ensure a successful rescheduled event during the last weekend of June and we are confident that we will receive statutory approval to proceed with these dates.” Registration for the June event is now open. Our running community is special and at times like this, we take comfort in knowing we’re a part of that community. NEXT STEP: NOTIFYING US OF YOUR CHOICE We have set up a data collection tool, and you only need to select ‘1’ unit (see screenshot below) in each category as you will be able to add multiple events on the next screen. Please read the FAQs below before making your choice. Please be patient as your chosen option needs to be processed manually and we will have a lot of work to do behind the scenes to action your requests. You will need your registration ID (R-xxxxx no spaces) to submit your request. We will be re-sending all confirmation emails on 12 April, which will contain this number. |
