BEAUTIFUL COURSE
We’re blessed with a tremendous amount of natural beauty in Milton Keynes, and we’re also lucky to have a world-class system of cycle paths known as redways. We have taken advantage of those factors to show off our green city, giving our runners a course that is scenic, interesting, inspiring, fun to run, fast, and excitingly different from other marathons.
The race leaves the Campbell Park event plateau heading west on the tree-lined Avebury Boulevard and circling the impressive Xscape complex. We then head east on the wide, fast, and flat Childs Way giving runners the opportunity to get into their groove before skirting the top of historic Woolstone. We then head northwest past Gullivers Dinosaur & Farm Park and continue around to Newlands towards Willen Lake. Following the north and south lake in a clockwise direction before cutting through the original Milton Keynes Village and following the scenic Ouzel Valley all the way to Caldecotte Lake. You will then return on the long and flat straight passing through the villages of Woughton-on-the-Green and Woolstone back to Newlands turning left and crossing the Grand Union Canal and into Campbell Park. The race finishes down in the meadow below the light pyramid. Rewards will be presented in the amphitheatre, where you will enjoy street food, bars, and live entertainment.
