Virtual Race 2021 FAQs

You can run or walk your virtual race anywhere you choose! It could be in your local area, on a treadmill, or anywhere that is safe and compliant with the COVID-19 protocols in your region. All we ask is that you track the run using a GPS tracker such as Garmin, etc. so you can submit evidence of your run.

You can run your race anytime from 19 June to 9 July 2021

Yes, you can enter and run more than one event.

You can register more than one person, but each participant will need their own email address and account. Each order is assigned a unique registration ID, where you upload evidence of the run/walk.

No, but you can add another event distance to your registration. You can enter as many event distances as you like.

Yes! Just take a photo of the treadmill total time and distance so you can submit evidence of your run. You can also upload a photo of yourself. We love to see where you're running!

No, you can complete the distance in as many days as you like, however you can only upload one image as proof of your runs.

If you need more than one day to complete the distance, then take a screenshot of your runs and upload one image of all your completed runs.

Once registered on Active, we will enter you into the competition on our technology provider’s website – Results Base.

If you use a Garmin device you can link your Garmin Connect account to Resultsbase and your data will automatically be added to the system and the appropriate leaderboards. Unfortunately, we cannot at this time connect to Strava, but we are working on it!

If you do not use a Garmin you will need to upload your data manually at the website. You will need to submit evidence, such as a picture of your fitness device or a screenshot of your Strava entry.

We will be adding a link to the Resultsbase page when the event starts, to make it easy for you to find.

Yes, runners who participate in the Rocket 5K and either the Turing 10k, Half Marathon, Marathon Relay, or Marathon will receive the MK Challenge Medal. You can take part virtually or in-person.

Your MK Challenge medal will be posted after the in-person race in early July.

The MK Marathon has a Loyalty Club known as ‘The Legends’ to reward runners who have completed 5 x MK Marathons (need not be consecutive). Running the marathon virtually or in-person will count towards your target.

Please send an email of yourself with all 5 or 10 medals and we will post your Legend medal in early July.

If you complete the Rocket 5K and one of the main events (excluding fun run), then you will earn the MK Challenge medal. You can take part virtually or in-person. This will be posted after the event.

Sorry, but we have decided not to post virtual packs internationally in 2021.

We will pack and post your rewards mid to late May.

Your iTab will arrive separately directly from My Sporting Times after you have completed your virtual race.
