In 2013 we had over 450 Event Crew who worked really hard to put on a fantastic day for the runners.
There are numerous roles that need filling by keen volunteers looking to be part of the race day experience.
An event of this scale takes a huge amount of manpower. Volunteer roles range from handing out water along the route to working at the finish area handing out medals to runners.
All volunteers will receive…
- A full briefing
- An event crew T-shirt
- Lunch pack
- Plus of course a huge thank you from us and the sense of satisfaction from being involved in the MK Marathon.
We ask the volunteers to be available at a specified time on race day and to be on duty for no more than 6 hours (including a ½ hour break). They will also be required to attend a briefing meeting before the event and to agree to our stewarding regulations. If they live outside the area and are unable to attend the briefing meeting this can be done on race day.
- Volunteer Band 1 : 8am to 2pm
- Volunteer Band 2 : 10am to 4pm
- Volunteer Band 3 : 12pm to 6pm
- Volunteer Band 4 : All day
